The latest surge of violence in South Sudan has forced more than 50,000 people to cross into Uganda. The new arrivals have reportedly entered Uganda via the border crossing of Elegu, while others have gone directly to refugee settlements in the mid-western part of the country.

Our correspondent Daniel Arapmoi has been at the Uganda-South Sudan border and filed this report.
