Iran brings Serbia's winning train to station in FIVB World League

Team Iran have fought back from 2 sets down to beat Serbia 3-2 in a 5-set thriller, in the third week of the FIVB World League.

Team Iran who had bagged 2 Wins and suffered 4 Defeats were Supported by 12,000 vocal home-crowd who packed Azadi's Hall to its Capacity on Friday.

The Iranians who were looking to Avenge last week's 3-nothing defeat at the hands of Serbia, lost the first 2 sets 25-18, 25-22.

However, in the third set, Mobasheri, Zarrini and Mirzajanpour were added to the starting line-up and Iran's Super Defense helped them pick-up a 25-22 win.

In the 4th, Javier Luzano's men continued their Fantastic Form and took the set 25-23 as the game went into a Deciding 5th-set.

Finally, the home side rallied to a 16-14 victory, as Iran put an end to Serbia's winning streak with a 3-2 win. Iran will next play Italy in its 2nd match on Monday.

This is while, Earlier on Friday, Italy defeated Argentina 3-sets-to-1 thanks to a great performance from Luca Vettori.
