A prominent software developer in Russia has launched the first tests on unmanned tractors with computer vision systems.
The tractor uses a digital map of the field, with its computer vision system and sensors helping the vehicle to avoid objects in the absence of such a map.
It detects objects ranging in size from 10 to 15 centimeters from a distance of 15 to 20 meters.
Experts hope the technology will increase the profitability of Russian farms because the tractors can work round the clock if necessary.
