Federer makes winning return to tennis court

In Stuttgart Open, the Swiss Maestro Roger Federer, whose season has been Plagued by Injuries, made a winning return to the Court by defeating American teenager Taylor Fritz in 3 sets, to reach the Quarterfinals of the tournament.

The Swiss Maestro was leading 4-3 in the 1st set on Wednesday, when the 2nd-round meeting was Suspended due to Heavy Rain. When action resumed on Thursday, Federer finished-off a 29-minute opening set on TOP, at 6-4. However, the 17-time Grand Slam Champion faced a Tough Task in the 2nd and Fritz BROKE to restore Parity in the final game of the set, which he took at 7-5. However, Federer stepped up a gear to secure the WIN by clinching the 3rd set 6-4. It was Federer’s 1,071st victory on the ATP Tour, tying him in 2nd place with Ivan Lendl on the all-time match-wins LIST.
