Lewis Hamilton has made a comeback to the Formula 1 championship after winning the Monaco Grand Prix which began in rainy conditions.

Although Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo started from pole, a communication problem, which led to a horrible mistake at their pit wall, took the lead from him and handed it to Hamilton who kept it for good.

Ricciardo was kept waiting at the pits unusually long as his team had not prepared the right tires. However, a brave decision by Hamilton to not change the tires when his team had advised him to, paid off and he won the race in 1 hour 59 minutes, and 29.133 seconds ahead of Ricciardo.

With the win, Hamilton’s deficit against his teammate and overall leader Nico Rosberg has now shrunk to 24 points.
