Press TV has conducted an interview with Scott Bennett, a former US army psychological warfare officer from San Francisco, and Michael Lane, from the American Institute for Foreign Policy in Washington, to discuss the Saudi role in the 9/11 attacks.

Bennett says there was a combination of elements within the CIA, Mossad, and Saudi Arabia participating in “a massive black flag operation to justify the US going across the Middle East.”

The Saudi elements who facilitated the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington, DC “were simply obeying the instructions that the Mossad and the CIA were giving them,” the former officer says.

“Anyone with an honest heart and an intelligent mind cannot possibly believe the official government narrative that involves plane diesel fuel melting steel, dustification of cement, planes liquefying in the Pentagon,” he argues.

He further notes the Swiss bank accounts of some Saudi nationals who were involved in the 9/11 attacks prove that the US government story of the incident is a “complete lie.”

Lane, for his part, believes that although the results of an investigation into the 9/11 attacks have remained classified for more than a decade, a growing number of US political figures have come to an understanding that not only the American people but the world should know what happened behind the scenes.

He also rules out the theory that the CIA, Mossad and Saudi Arabia cooperated on 9/11 to pave the way for ensuing US military operations in the Middle East.
