Federer beats Zverev at Italian Open in Rome

The Swiss maestro Roger Federer returned to action for the 1st time in a month, with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Alexander Zverev in the 2nd round of the Italian Open.

The world No.2 broke Zverev for a 4-2 lead in the 1st set. But, the 19-year-old, put up more of a challenge in the 2nd, as the German recovered from an early break.

The pressure from Federer, eventually paid off as the Swiss booked a 3rd-round-berth with a straight sets victory.

The Swiss superstar will now take on world No. 15 Dominic Thiem of Austria.
