34th Fajr International Film Festival in Tehran

The 34th edition of Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) was held in two sections of Cinema Salvation Cinema (international competition) and Eastern Vista (competition of Asian and Islamic countries).

The Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) is an annual film festival held every April in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The festival, which started in 1982, is under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Iran. It takes place every year on the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The festival has been promoted both locally and abroad through television, radio and webinars with previous speakers coming from the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.

Contributing organizations to the event include the Farabi Cinema Foundation, Iran Film Foundation, Press TV, HispanTV and Iran's multi-lingual film channel iFilm.

Since 2015, the festival has been separated into a national festival in February and an international one in April, with the national one being the more notable for premiere of the most important domestic movies.
