US a ‘super predator’ bent on destroying world: Analyst

The US government is an aspiring empire and “super predator” determined to control the world and destroy nations, an American writer and political analyst says.

“This is a global empire that is bent on the control of the world and if not, the destruction of the world; they have been just raining death on dozens of countries over the years,” Daniel Patrick Welch told Press TV on Friday.

“The United States government is the original and champion super predator in the world and has been for a very long time; it’s not Russia, it’s not China, it’s not ISIS (Daesh), and it’s certainly not young black men at home,” Welch observed.

“The United States is constantly coming out with these arrogant statements, calling Russian moves provocative for buzzing a US ship [near Russian borders],” he said.

“The clear implication is that the US can do whatever it wants, wherever it wants and if anyone moves to push back or take a stance in defending their countries and their people, then they are in the wrong and they are the ones that are provocative,” he noted.

On Monday, two Russian Sukhoi SU-24 warplanes flew within meters of a US guided missile destroyer in the Baltic Sea, the Pentagon said on Wednesday, calling it one of the most aggressive interactions in recent history.

Russia on Thursday denied its aircraft were engaged in reckless or provocative behavior, saying the fighter jets "turned away in observance of all safety measures" after observing the US Navy warship, USS Donald Cook.

Washington believes the overflights breach a 1970s agreement which was designed to prevent such unsafe incidents at sea.

The incidents come as tensions are on the rise between the US and Russia over the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Syria.
