Ugandans voted in the presidential elections, and they re-elected Museveni. President Yoweri Museveni will extend his 30-year in Uganda.

Many have criticized Museveni for holding on to power for too long, and that the country needs a change, especially for their young population.

But economically, Uganda under Museveni has performed well. The current unemployment rate stands at a little over 7%, and in the projections it is set to be reined in to below 4%.

The exports still yield considerable income with coffee and banana setting record production.

And Lake Albert is filled with an abundant volume of oil and natural gas.

And the government has focused on domestic investment through the year 2022, especially in infrastructure projects.

Uganda’s future is so promising, endowed with significant natural resources, including ample fertile land, regular rainfall, and mineral deposits, it is thought that it could feed all of Africa if it were commercially farmed.
