Arbor Day in Iran

Tree planting

Trees are considered sacred in the Iranian culture, which is why Iranians celebrate Arbor Day by spending an entire week in tree planting events just a week before the Iranian New Year and the beginning of the spring. Gisoo Misha Ahmadi tells us more.

Fashion festival

Annually, Tehran hosts an international fashion and clothing festival before the New Year. The goal of the fashion show is to encourage designers to promote novel Islamic and Iranian ideas in clothing throughout the country. Benita Rahimi gives more information.
