10th International 100-Second Films Festival

Last week, here in Tehran, was the 10th International 100-Second Films Festival and we were there to witness the event. Hoda Lezgee tells us more.

Tehran is already an exciting place to be in. This huge metropolis becomes even more exciting when its hidden treasures and attractions are discovered and delved into. We visited the center for traditional Iranian art affiliated with Iran’s Culture Ministry, a place where a perfect collection of exquisite and in some case forgotten artworks are created in their most perfect form by seasoned Iranian master artists.

Shooting is one of the fastest growing sports in Iran, attracting a lot of women specifically.  Interestingly enough, they have been doing very well in most disciplines leaving behind their male peers. This year, they managed to secure four spots in the Rio Olympics as opposed to only one for men. In this feature, we will explore the different disciplines of shooting and talk to leading women in the sport.

Startup companies are showing up everywhere. What do they do and how do they work?! That’s what we will get into. Nowadays in Iran, Startup companies are for sure helping economic growth and creating job opportunities for the general public.
