The Finova Connect is aimed at making driving safer and allowing owners to understand their cars better.

A Ukrainian company has created a device that fits into the vehicle's on-board-diagnostics port and gives advice on faults, history and safety.

The Finova Connect is aimed at making driving safer and allowing owners to understand their cars better. Any driver can plug the small transmitter into their car's OBD port that will send information back, including tracking, condition, errors and even messages from businesses such as insurance companies. It also uses statistical algorithms, data mining and machine learning to evaluate the driver's behavior pattern.

The product will be distributed in late march at about 200 dollars and 5 dollars a month for subscription. The technology is an individual application, but a platform which is open for other IT-developers, motor companies and insurance groups worldwide
