Palestinian children are often caught in the crossfire of the clashes between the Israeli military and the Palestinian protesters.

During the latest wave of protests that began in October 2015, also known as the al-Quds Intifada, many children were exposed to violations at the hands of Israeli forces.

These children had been fired upon with rubber coated bullets and live ammunition, in addition to tear gas and stun grenades, some now have long term injuries, while others have received permanent handicaps in their limbs due to those injuries.

Many Israeli violations occurred against Palestinian schools during class times, this had placed many students in harm’s way whether through throwing tear gas canisters or stun grenades into the educational institutes. Israel had been doing this for years.

Some experts have stated that Israel’s goal for this is to create an atmosphere of fear and terror among the students. This is common in schools near hot spots such as Borein, Beit Ummar, Betier and others
