Russia unveils flame-throwing RPG-launching drone

See footage of the Russian Defense Ministry's latest Unmanned Aerial Vehicle: A flame-throwing RPG-launching drone.

United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation unveiled the aerial vehicle at the Robots Exhibition held near Kubinka, Moscow on Wednesday.

Apart from destroying enemy targets, it is capable of transporting equipment and reconnaissance. "It is a military drone. It can shoot both vertically and horizontally," said company official Maxim Skokov.

According to company representatives, it can be armed with an RPG-26 anti-tank rocket launcher and sports a built in flamethrower.

The anti-tank attack multicopter is part of a drone complex along with of three other UAVs: a robotic helicopter, a sentinel multicopter, and a reconnaissance multicopter.

The copters can carry out separate missions or function as a team and are, according to the company, designed to replace [soldiers] effectively where it is possible, be it scouting, patrolling, monitoring, cartography, transportation and combat missions.”
