During US Secretary of State John Kerry’s visit to Italy, he was confronted by a female journalist who shouted that he created the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group.

Kerry and Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni participated at a meeting of the international coalition fighting against Daesh in Rome on Tuesday.

The two ministers later held a press conference and vowed to crush ISIL terrorists.

The conference was disrupted by a cry of protest when a journalist sitting in the front row shouted at Kerry, “It’s you who created Daesh!” several times, according to Italian media reports.

The woman was dragged away from the conference by the Carabinieri – Italy’s national military police.

Daesh terrorists, who were initially trained by the CIA in Jordan in 2012 to destabilize the Syrian government, now control large parts of Iraq and Syria.

They have been carrying out horrific acts of violence such as public decapitations and crucifixions against all communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, and Christians.

Since last year, the US and some of its allies have been carrying out airstrikes against ISIL inside Iraq and Syria.
