Optic beauty in Kandelous Village

This file photo shows a general view of Kandelous Village located in Iran’s Mazandaran Province.

Iran is filled with beautiful places to see. One of them is the village of Kandelous, located in Mazandaran Province.

What the village lacks in size, it makes up for in beauty. From stone walkways to nostalgic houses embedded right next to each other. There are mountains you can drive up on that will take you 1,500 meters above sea level. There is a holy shrine and a ton of paths and trails you can walk and sightsee on.

This week we are off to a sculpture festival, and the good news is that we are going to see works from young artists, all under the age of 35, with a great future ahead of them.

The Arvand free zone is a very significant and strategically important area because of its access to the Persian Gulf through rivers and its closeness to countries like Iraq and Kuwait.
