West, Israel trying to lay blame on Turkey: Analyst

This file photo shows Daesh terrorists.

Press TV has interviewed Scott Rickard, a former American intelligence linguist in Orlando, about the Israeli regime claiming that Turkey has been providing money to the Daesh Takfiri militants operating in Syria and Iraq through oil trade with them.

The following is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Well, what exactly is going on? It is like the pot calling the kettle black. What is going on here in your perspective? Why do you think that Israel right now is pointing the finger at Turkey?

Rickard: Obviously … Israel just like the United States is trying to exonerate themselves from this and certainly with the defense minister speaking in Greece, he is speaking to a welcome crowd because the Turkish and the Greek relations have been stressed for centuries because of the history there. So he is feeding into the fear, doubt, and uncertainty of the Greek officials as well.

But at the same time Israel, like you said, is alongside the United States, NATO allies, Persian Gulf allies in supporting these ISIS (Daesh) terrorists along Turkey and Saudi Arabia. It appears that the West and Israel and other NATO allies as well as Persian Gulf allies are trying to lay the blame on Turkey and as well as Saudi Arabia.

So I think what has happened here is unfortunate obviously for Turkey and their counterparts that are being called to blame. This has been the sort of the status quo for the West. The West creates the environment, it nurtures the environment and then when things go south unfortunately they blame their counterparts for causing the problem.

Press TV: Doesn’t it highlight the overall hypocrisy especially when we look at the transfer of oil and obviously it has been spotted on the ground and by air by many entities especially Russia of course highlighted this situation more recently and we ourselves have lost a journalist who covered it - Serena Shim?

In general, with this situation doesn’t again it highlight the hypocrisy of the United States because obviously through satellite that if the United States was really against this, that they could definitely have detected it and could have stopped it? When will we reach the point that this overall hypocrisy is actually addressed and that there can be an overall change in this current status quo because we see this continuously, as you have just said the support for terrorism and then on the other hand condemning terrorism? What has to be done?

Rickard: Well what has to be done obviously, I have said this many times, there are Nuremberg style trials across the board for all the nations that are involved in creating this horror that has occurred in Syria and elsewhere and like you said, it is more than hypocrisy. These are people who are absolutely complicit in the oil trade. The Russians exposed this very well. In December they provided very explicit information about the thousands of trucks that were being used and certainly the Americans and their “coalition” did not spend any time bombing these vehicles because this oil was highly lucrative not only to Turkey but also to the buyers. The buyers included many countries including Israel of this oil that was being stolen from Syria.

So they are complicit not only in the theft of the oil but also in the support of the terrorists and hypocrisy is a kind way of saying it. This is absolute war crimes and what really needs to be done is this needs to be taken to international courts, this needs to be held up by other nations that understand this and broadcast widely across not only censored news like Press TV and RT - it is censored in the United States - but also across American media and British media and Asian media and everyone needs to be made aware of this.
