Musilms mark martyrdom anniversary in Mashhad

Millions of pilgrims have converged on Mashhad, a city in northeastern Iran which is home to the shrine of the eighth Imam of Shia Muslims. They've attended religious ceremonies marking the martyrdom anniversary of Ali ibn Musa al-Reza. The Imam and his principles and values have also been commemorated by millions of Iranians gathering in mosques around the country.
