He was referring to the bad eating habits that were prevalent in 19th-century French society which indulged in flour and sugar consumption.
Today big food industry and mass production have become the norm everywhere, causing a rise in obesity and health-related illnesses.
As a consequence, more people are turning to little farmers to seek healthier, sustainable food as an alternative.
