Iran thrashes Switzerland 8-0 in Deaf Futsal World Cup

Iranian men’s national deaf futsal team has achieved another emphatic victory at the 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup in Thailand.

On Saturday, the Iranian players cruised past Switzerland 8-0 in a match played at the indoor Nimibutr Stadium in the Thai capital city of Bangkok.

The Iranian team is scheduled to play Norway on Tuesday.

Iran is in Group B along with Algeria, Japan, Norway, Russia and Switzerland. Brazil, Italy, the Netherlands, Thailand and Uzbekistan form Group A. 

The 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup started in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 20, 2015, and will finish on November 28.

Meanwhile, Iranian women’s deaf futsal squad recorded a 8-3 victory against Denmark in its second group stage encounter on Saturday, and managed to advance to the next round.

Iranian deaf female futsal players were pitted against teams from Denmark and England in Group D.

While China, Italy, Sweden and Thailand were in Group A, Japan, Russia and Spain played in Group B. Brazil, Germany and Norway were drawn in Group C.

The 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup opened in Bangkok, Thailand on November 20, and will wrapped up on November 28.
