In many ancient cultures, pomegranates symbolize fertility and health. They are known as a great food with lots of health benefits. In this program our reporter talks about Hey'at and its characteristics. It has roots in Islam and Shia philosophy but not limited to religious activities. It is the Iranian version of NGOs and for many years Hey'ats have been providing support to local communities like neighborhoods and ethnic groups all around Iran. Heyat is the ultimate expression of teamwork in an almost flat and democratic organization which is formed and run by people. Their peak of work is during the month of Muharam when they have mourning events and rituals almost every night.
