Voting concluded on Monday in the first round of Egypt’s parliamentary elections. Much to the government's dismay, not many appeared to cast their ballots despite encouraging measures such as giving state workers a half-day off to attend the polling stations. Analysts see the low turnout is a sign that shows the government of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is increasingly losing its public support .
