Intl. Day for Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons observed at UN

Back in 2013, based on Iran’s recommendation, the UN General Assembly named September 26 as the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons. The day is seen as an occasion for the world community to reaffirm its commitment to global nuclear disarmament as a high priority. This year’s event was observed at the UN on Wednesday.
