Corbyn and the shadow of a military coup

Jeremy Corbyn leader of the British Labour Party.

In December, the British government adopted in law the UN’s arms trade treaty, which binds governments to stop arms transfers if there is a risk of breaches of international humanitarian law or human rights law.

Despite that, British weapons have been supplied to Saudi-led savage attacks in Yemen, fanning the flames of conflict and escalating humanitarian crisis as well as possibly being in breach of arms sales laws.

Meanwhile, the remarks attributed to a serving British military rank in an edition of Sunday Times contained no so veiled threat of a military rebellion in the event of Corbyn led Labour Government exercising its legitimate power.
