Daesh, necessary evil for US’s endless war policy: Analyst

Press TV has conducted an interview with Ken O’Keefe, a former US Marine, in London, to discuss recent remarks by US Secretary of State John Kerry about Syria and the purported fight against Daesh (ISIL).

What follows is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Give us your thoughts on the recent statements made by US Secretary of State John Kerry.

O’Keefe: When we contrast those statements with the Russian premier and Lavrov, we find that you have sanity on the Russian side and complete and total discombobulated insanity on the American side.

If we look at American policy in any kind of fair and objective way, it is very clear that not only are they not actually fighting against ISIS, ISIL, whatever they call themselves, but they are actually the primary initiators of this monstrosity known as ISIS. In fact, it is their proxies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the [Persian] Gulf states that are funding this from the beginning. Let us recall that when we invaded Iraq for instance, there was no ISIS, there was no al-Qaeda. In fact, if there was al-Qaeda in Iraq during Saddam Hussein’s time, they would have been executed on the spot.

Now that we’ve invaded and occupied, here is ISIS; and look at them running around with all of the American weapons; they get training; variations of ISIS, al-Nusra front get training in Jordan and our good friends and allies in Turkey are all too happy to shuttle these monsters across the border and provide political cover and logistical support in Turkey so I do not know how anybody in their right mind would consider the United States to be seriously fighting against ISIS. In fact, ISIS is a necessary evil in order to go ahead and justify the military industrial complex in the ongoing policy of never-ending war.

So, on the Russian side, we see sanity and we see solutions, as we did in 2013. Let us not forget that the chemical weapons charade that was being played out, the classic false flag that was meant to be blamed on Assad back in 2013 in order to justify an invasion and war with Syria back then was scuttled because of Russian diplomacy; and actually, let us not forget that there are no chemical weapons in Syria, that in fact Bashar al-Assad did get rid of all those chemical weapons and apparently the reward for that is just more of the same destruction of the entire nation of Syria.

Press TV: Well, John Kerry also criticized Russia’s support for the Syrian president. He claims that Russia’s support risks exacerbating and extending the conflict and that is in total disregard for the US’s actions in Syria.

O’Keefe: Yes. Well I mean I don’t believe George Orwell could have done it any better. I think we are clearly living in 1984 reality; and when John Kerry says America wants peace, what he means is America wants war. When John Kerry says we are looking out for the interest of the Syrian people, what he really means is he is looking out for the interest of the Greater Israel project and the designs to destroy the surrounding nations of Israel in order to expand Israel all the way up to the Euphrates in Iraq down to the Nile in Egypt and parts of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and also Lebanon.

This is the Greater Israel project and when you look at everything that is being done in the Middle East, it is perfectly in line with Oded Yinon’s strategy for Israel in the 1980s and the expansion of Israel. That is the psychopaths’ dream. America is the whipping boy for Israeli policy and American sons and daughters must continue to be sacrificed in order for Israel to expand and that is the policy of the United States as long as we have these traitors running the US government.
