Yemen’s Ansarullah fighters and their allied army units continue attacks on Saudi forces in response to Riyadh’s relentless airstrikes on the impoverished nation.
In the latest development, 16 Saudi soldiers were killed and four others injured in an ambush attack near the Mash’al base in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan region. In an earlier attack, Yemeni forces killed a number of Saudi troops and seized their weaponry in the same region. The United Arab Emirates also confirmed that 22 of its soldiers were killed in the eastern Yemeni province of Ma’rib. The UAE says the soldiers were killed after a surface-to-surface missile targeted an ammunition store there. The Emirati forces were helping the Saudi military campaign against Yemen.
