A conference has kicked off in the US and it’s all about climate challenges in the Arctic.
Around 450 representatives from 20 countries have participated in the meeting. The discussions are focusing on the special status of the Arctic in international climate change. Issues about ways to protect the air and environment in the region are also included, as well as international means to address the problems. The Arctic has always been the most sensitive region for global climate change. As temperatures around the world have risen, glaciers have melted fast in the US state of Alaska.
