Free trade agreements: Nothing free about them

Free trade agreements: There's nothing free about them

There have been some trade agreements in the past decades, whose primary purpose has been to facilitate free flow of goods and services, and to open up foreign markets. These agreements are meant to be for the benefit of the people, their wages and the products and services being offered. But trade agreements like TTIP, as many experts say, are for the benefit of the corporations.

Governments and their elected politicians are chosen by the people to protect them, to make sure they get their fair share when it comes to law and justice. But trade agreements like TTIP and TPP have put that in danger. These agreements would give great power to massive corporations, deprive countries of their democracy, and strip courts of their power to make decisions.
