Press TV has interviewed Hafsa Kara-Mustapha, a political commentator in London, and Lawrence Corb, a former assistant to US ex-Secretary of Defense Colin Powell, in Atlanta, to discuss the fight against the Takfiri Daesh terrorists.

Kara-Mustapha says that Arab monarchies and their Western allies have been funding “rebel oppositions” in the region and that support has paved the way for Takfiri groups to emerge.

“ISIS (Daesh) has been a result of Western and foreign meddling in countries that we are not there to meddle with,” the analyst says.

She slams Washington and the West for interfering in the internal affairs of other countries and says that whenever the US has intervened in a “self-governing” country, no matter the nature of its regime, that country has turned into a sanctuary for terrorist organizations.

Corb, meanwhile, says that ISIL is taking advantage of the chaotic and violent situation in the region to appeal to people in countries such as Libya who are not happy with their governments.
