Iran FM Zarif visits Syria on his tour

Iran’s foreign minister has concluded a one-day visit to Syria as part of his tour of regional countries. During his stay in Damascus, Mohammad Javad Zarif met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Muallem as Tehran is pushing for a peace plan to end the ongoing crisis in Syria.
