The September 11 attacks opened a new chapter in the development of a dominant hegemony power in the world’s history. Following the attacks on America’s supremacy, the media began embedding the initial messages in people’s mind by publishing and broadcasting peculiar images of Taliban and al-Qaeda, which were under the leadership of Osama Bin Laden.

The propagandas through social media were piloted in such way that left only one option to deal with this national hatred; revenge, a term used numerous times in Western social media.

This incident had direct influence on all the US affairs, including its Hollywood cinema. Not only was such outcome not limited to a handful of genres and films, but it also brought a considerable alteration to the whole cinematic culture of Hollywood. It owed to these changes of culture and atmosphere within Hollywood that “bad guys” started to appear differently in films over the course of few months.

In this episode of Hollywood cut, Press TV has focused on the stereotype of Afghanistan in Hollywood, before and after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
