US manufacturing terror threat to save Israel: Scholar

The US government is spreading a false sense of fear from ‘Islamic terrorists’ as part of a foreign policy that seeks global domination.

The US government is spreading a false sense of fear from ‘Islamic terrorists’ as part of a foreign policy that seeks global domination and to launch military strikes against countries that oppose Israel, an American scholar and journalist in Wisconsin says.

“The entire media discourse about terrorism is a kind of social manipulation, a brainwashing program by experts in the manipulation of public opinion who’ve created the notion of terrorist threats in order to stampede people in the direction of social policies that they want to pursue,” said Dr. Kevin Barrett, a founding member of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance.

“This notion of a radical Muslim terrorist threat against the United States was manufactured in order to pursue foreign policy goals, including the domination of the Middle East and the launching of so-called preemptive criminal wars of aggression against countries that pose a threat to the ‘state’ of Israel,” Barrett said during a phone interview with Press TV on Friday.

White, right-wing Americans present a far greater terror threat to the United States than individuals linked to the al-Qaeda or ISIL extremist groups, according to a new study.

Most of the “terror” attacks carried out on US soil since the September 11, 2001 attacks have been committed by white supremacist and radical anti-government groups, according to the New America Foundation, a Washington-based think tank.

Nearly twice as many people have been killed by white supremacists and anti-government fanatics since 9/11 than by al-Qaeda-inspired individuals, according to the latest count by the New America Foundation.

The study found that 48 people have been killed by extremists who are not Muslim, including the recent mass killing in Charleston, South Carolina, compared with 26 by self-proclaimed Muslims.
