UK police crackdown on anti-govt. activists

UK police have adopted new measures to put more pressure on anti-government protests ahead of London's anti-austerity rally.

UK police have increased pressure on anti-government activists by handing fresh bail conditions.

According to the media reports, the new conditions are part of a larger plan by UK police to crackdown on anti-austerity protests.

To this end, three activists arrested on suspicion of offenses at earlier anti-government demonstrations have been handed fresh bail conditions which forbid them from attending the protest march on Saturday.

Activists say the decision is politically motivated. It comes as tens of thousands of protesters are expected to take to the streets of London and Glasgow over government’s austerity agenda.
