The United Nations has appealed for one-point-six billion dollars in aid for millions of people in war-stricken Yemen. The world body is raising the alarm over a looming humanitarian catastrophe.
Ahmad Fawzi says the funding appeal will, for the time being, only cover aid to more than 11 million of the most vulnerable people in need. Spokesman for the UN's humanitarian agency, Jens Laerke also voiced concern over lack of basic service in all regions of Yemen.
