Gaza Freedom Flotilla III
The Freedom Flotilla III has begun its voyage to Gaza and will be in the Mediterranean waters by the middle of June, 2015.
The Ship to Gaza organization in Europe is collaborating with the international Freedom Flotilla and is calling for an immediate end to the naval blockade of Gaza, the opening of the Gaza Port, and for a secure passage for Palestinians between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Tel Aviv imposed an all-out land, aerial, and naval blockade on Gaza in June 2007, a situation that has caused a decline in the standards of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment and unrelenting poverty.
The siege has turned the densely-populated coastal sliver, home to nearly 1.8 million Palestinians, into the largest open-air prison in the world.
