Press TV has interviewed Navid Nasr, a political analyst from Zagreb, and Richard Hellman, president of the Middle East Research Center from Washington, to discuss the war crimes committed by the Israeli regime against Palestinian civilians during its 50-day war on Gaza.

Nasr says Israel targeted civilians, especially children, during the last summer military offensive against Gaza, violating international laws on human rights through bombardment of all areas in the blockaded Palestinian sliver.

Pointing to the international community’s unfair treatment of Israeli crimes against Palestinians, the analyst says the United Nations merely defends the interests of certain countries such as the United States.

It is highly unlikely that the UN would impose any sanctions on Israel, he maintains, adding that Israel and its Western allies are trying to whitewash the atrocities against the Palestinian nation.

Hellman, for his part, describes as “biased” a recent report by UN agencies that cites Israeli crimes against Gazan children during the latest war on the Palestinian territory, questioning reports on the death toll of the Palestinians killed in the Israeli military campaign last year.
