Media against Israeli occupation

Palestinian journalists face many hardships covering events in Palestine.

Palestinian journalists have been a vital part in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict for decades.

Their role was integral in 1987 during the first Intifada, where very often they had to put their lives at risk in the line of duty, this role was also reprised during the second Intifada in 2001, where scores more journalists were injured and killed.

Many Palestinian journalists not only view their work as a job, but also as part of the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation, which is why many are willing to go the extra step in covering stories about Israel.

These men and women face dangers from every side and yet remain determined to reach the truth and expose it to the world, whether as professional journalists or proud Palestinians.
