As a result of recent attacks carried out by Takfiri groups, critics say Islamophobia in Europe is on the rise and peaceful Muslims have to pay the price.

Immigrant communities are already being viewed with increasing suspicion in both France and Germany, which have significant Muslim populations.

Following recent the attack against the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, a string of attacks have been carried out against Muslims in the country.

A Moroccan man in France was brutally killed after being stabbed 17 times in front of his wife at his own home by a neighbour in what is described as a “horrible Islamophobic attack.”

Societies across western Europe are beginning to divide over how best to deal with the actions of Takfiri militants carrying out attacks in their countries. So how should the majority of Muslims deal with such situations?

In this edition of Islamic Awakening, we ask: how will the actions of a few Takfiri groups impact Muslims living in Europe?
