Bil'in: Cradle of popular resistance

Bil'in: Cradle of popular resistance

The popular resistance committee in Bil'in was one of the first to start non-violent resistance against Israel with creative methods.

When the apartheid wall approached the lands of Bil'in, the villagers quickly formed a popular resistance committee and divided the tasks among themselves. Ten years later, they are continuing their resistance, with support from local and international activists.

As the village of Bil'in had pioneered non-violent popular resistance, they have created various different creative activities and demonstrations against the Israeli occupation. With their new ideas in popular resistance from gardens to film-making, Bil'in has gained international popularity in their resistance.
