Nablus: The city of soap and Kanafeh

The Palestinian city of Nablus in the northern West Bank has always been known as the city of olive oil soap. Nablus is also famed for its cheese-filled pastry called “Kanafeh.”

Nablus is one of the oldest cities in the world; it is one of the major commercial, industrial and agricultural centers in the West Bank.
