As the Saudi airstrikes continue to target Yemen’s infrastructure and residential areas, Ansarallah fighters along with the country’s army have made major gains in Marib governorate and defeated tribesmen supported by al-Qaeda.

On Tuesday, the newly formed civilian coalition of Yemeni syndicates held a press conference, denouncing what they called Saudi’s aggressive war against the Yemeni people.

On Tuesday, the spokesman of Yemen’s defense ministry said the country’s response to Saudi aggression would be very strong.

Meanwhile, the Nasserist Party, which had pulled out of UN-brokered negotiations earlier this year, has proposed a plan to put an end to Saudi invasion of Yemen. The nine-point mediation plan has called for the cession of violence throughout the county and a return to negotiating table for a Yemeni brokered deal that ends the foreign interference in Yemen’s internal affairs. The Nasserist Party had been accused by Ansarullah of withdrawing from negotiations to obstruct the dialogue.

As Ansarullah fighters supported by the army have foiled the attempts to fan the flames of sectarian war in the country, many have called on all Yemeni factions to unite and come up with a lasting Yemeni brokered deal to resolve the country’s deepening standoff.
