Mike Gravel: Iran nuclear deal further marginalizes Israel

Press TV has conducted an interview with Mike Gravel, a former Democratic United States Senator, to discuss Israel’s reaction to the statement made by Iran and the P5+1 group of countries.

Gravel says a mutual agreement between Iran and the West over Tehran’s nuclear program will further marginalize Israel. The former Senator believes that although Israel has some control over Congress, a nuclear deal neuters Tel Aviv’s influence and brings about a major change to Congress itself.

He goes on to say that despite Israeli smear campaign, a deal will also help strengthen the political and economic ties between Iran and the West, in particular the European countries, which will work to both sides’ benefit.
