The Yemeni nation is facing daily attacks by Saudi-led airplanes as the war on the country continues in different areas. The Saudi-led alliance has been pounding Yemeni cities for the fifth consecutive night, killing and wounding dozens of civilians, including women and children.
Many Yemenis have slammed the current war on Yemen, waged by the PGCC states of Egypt, Jordan and Sudan wondering, where were such Arab coalitions when Gaza and Lebanon were attacked by Israel. People are wondering why these two countries were not supported by this so-called Arab league organization as well.
Sada’ah have been hit hard by the Saudi led air strikes. Besides targeting military infrastructure; water supplies, gas stations and public markets were also hit by Saudi attacks, making many wonder what people’s basic supplies have to do with the alleged goals of the invasion.
As Yemen’s humanitarian crisis continues to deteriorate with nearly 70% of the country’s population living on less than 2 US dollars a day, international activists say the Saudi Arabia’s aerial and sea ban on Yemen will further exacerbate the humanitarian crisis there.
As anti-Saudi sentiments build up in Yemen, thousands of people from different affiliations have volunteered to defend their country against a probable ground battle against Saudi-led forces.
This comes as the Yemeni army and volunteer forces have made fresh gains in different areas. Political observers believe the military achievements have foiled plots aimed at dividing Yemen into hostile sectarian regions by waging an all-out war against it.
