Saudis miscalculated in Yemen invasion: Analyst
Press TV has conducted an interview with Abayomi Azikiwe, an editor at Pan-African News Wire from Detroit, to discuss various aspects of the ongoing Saudi military intervention in Yemen.
The analyst maintains that there was clearly a miscalculation on the part of the Saudi monarchy and its backers in Washington, saying they have underestimated the power of Ansarullah movement, which enjoys widespread public support inside Yemen.
President Barack Obama administration’s response to the ongoing crisis in Yemen clearly demonstrates that the American foreign policy on the Middle East has failed, Azikiwe says.
He strongly criticizes the Saudi-led aerial campaign against Yemen, saying the Arab League serves the Washington’s “imperial interests” in the region.
