Scores of people have been killed and many more injured, after a series of deadly bomb attacks targeted two mosques in capital Sana’a.

In the Al-Hoshosh mosque, north of the capital, witnesses said that they heard a loud explosion outside and minutes later another bomb detonated in the first row, leaving behind a pool of mutilated bodies on the ground.

Friday worshippers who survived the attacks said the explosions will not deter them from continuing their fight against corruption.

Due to the high number of casualties, the Friday attack, is considered to be one of the deadliest to hit the supporters of the Ansarullah movement, who took control of Yemeni capital back in September.

Mohamed al-Bukhadi, a member of the Ansarullah movement’s political office, says, the latest attacks came as a result of the disparaging foreign meddling in Yemen by countries like Saudi Arabia and the US.

Al-Bukhadi adds, that despite the pernicious blasts, the Ansarullah movement will continue to engage in dialogue.

The ISIL Takfiri group has reportedly claimed responsibility for the mosque bombings.

This is al-Muayad hospital where many of the injured have been rushed to. Doctors here say that most of the bodies which were brought in, had been mutilated in the explosion.
