UK anti-terror policy in trouble

Police are chasing three UK schoolgirls in Turkey, who are said to be headed to join the ISIL Takfiri terrorists in Syria.

They are not alone. Ever more Britons are traveling abroad to join terrorist groups. Some analysts claim Britain is actually to blame for its own problems, thanks to alliances with states that export the Takfiri ideology inspiring these terrorist groups.

In fact, out of over 200 countries, when it comes to using violence and military conflict abroad, Britain is in the top three. History shows Britain has also killed millions of people around the world.

Indeed, the United Kingdom is responsible for more recent foreign deaths than 98% of all other countries on Earth, giving a credible link to the claim that this causes citizens themselves to react violently to certain issues.

As a major ally of Saudi Arabia, the main exporter of the ISIL ideology, it has also funded and armed militants in Syria over the past four years of conflict, further strengthening the link between foreign policy and motives to join the militants in Syria.
