Fabricated freedoms in France

People hold up pens during a demonstration following the January 7, 2015 attack on a weekly in Paris, France.

People are asking whether France is as free as it claims.

Paris claims that it allows religious freedoms. Pundits have their own arguments to denounce the matter.

The French government has been under fire by various charities for having arrested hundreds of civilians over demonstrations regarding the January 7 attack on a weekly in the capital.

Moreover, it is a great concern that France is the only European country that legally discriminates against Muslim women.

Police recently removed five children from a Muslim family because their father was accused of having links to the ISIL Takfiri terrorists. One of the children was a two-month-old baby who needed to be fed. Such treatment falls far short of international human rights standards.
