A car bomb has exploded in a town in the countryside of Syria's capital, Damascus, killing at least 12 people, and injuring dozens.
According to the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the car bomb hit the city of Dumair on the eastern suburbs of Damascus, more specifically on the road connecting Dumair with Palmira in central Syria.
The report says the number of casualties is likely rise due to the large number of critically wounded people.
No further information has yet been released on the incident.
