Violence against women in Georgia

There were 25 reported cases of severe domestic violence in Georgia by the end of 2014.The number of violence cases that did not result in death was much higher.

Georgia has been collecting gender-sensitive statistics since the implementation of the law on elimination of violence against women in 2006. Our correspondent Svetlana Alimova reports from Tbilisi.
